Languages of the Archive

Pahari/Pothwari

A major spoken language of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and neighbouring hill districts. This page will later cover varieties, scripts, transliteration conventions, and related Dhaar materials — without treating one script as the language itself.

Archive note

No Pahari/Pothwari translations are public yet.

This landing will hold naming notes, script practice, regional varieties, transliteration and translation conventions, and links to related Dhaar materials once they exist. Counts and sample titles are not invented to fill the layout.

Scripts

  • Shahmukhi / Perso-Arabic
  • Roman transliteration where useful

Dhaar does not assume one language equals one script. Source script is preserved in the record.
