Methodology

Documentation, for Dhār, is a discipline with its own standards, applied consistently rather than invoked occasionally. Every record—an event, a document, a case, an oral history, an image—carries its own evidence: what is known, what is claimed, what remains disputed or unconfirmed, and who is responsible for the record.

We distinguish clearly between:

  • Confirmed fact — corroborated by multiple independent sources or primary documentation
  • Testimony — a first-person account, presented as such
  • Official claim — a government, institutional, or organizational statement, presented as such
  • Disputed claim — where credible sources conflict
  • Under review — where evidence is still being gathered or assessed

A record’s verification status stays visible in the text itself. Publication timing follows verification, not urgency or attention.
