Political and Constitutional Structure
What is established
AJK has constitutional arrangements, public institutions, courts, and elections. The Interim Constitution Act, 1974 (as amended) is among the foundational legal texts referenced in the archive.
What is disputed or contested
How much autonomy those institutions actually exercise, and how they relate to Pakistani federal authority, is a matter of legal argument and political disagreement. Dhār records claims and documents rather than settling that argument.
Terminology used by Dhār
Records name offices as they appear in source texts (president, prime minister, legislative assembly, courts) and distinguish official claims from analysis.
Why that terminology is used
Using the names in the documents themselves lets readers compare sources. Interpretive language belongs in research publications, not in the archival description of a statute.
